Frequently Asked Questions – Ausangate 7 Lakes Full Day

The Ausangate 7 Lakes Tour is considered a moderate hike. It requires good physical condition due to the altitude and walking time, but it is suitable for travelers used to hiking.

The highest point of the tour reaches approximately 4,800 meters (15,748 feet) above sea level, which makes acclimatization in Cusco highly recommended.

We recommend bringing warm clothing, waterproof jacket, hiking shoes, sunscreen, sunglasses, water, snacks, and a camera to capture the stunning landscapes.

Entrance to the Pacchanta hot springs is not included. However, travelers can choose to visit them after the hike by paying the entrance fee on-site.

If you are not used to altitude, we recommend spending at least two days in Cusco before the tour to acclimatize properly and reduce the risk of altitude sickness.
