Trip Summary

The Qeswachaka Inca Bridge tour offers a one-of-a-kind experience, highlighting an extraordinary example of Inca engineering. Constructed entirely from natural plant fibers, this bridge is part of the ancient Inca Trail system and still serves local communities today. During this full-day tour, you’ll have the rare opportunity to cross the last remaining Inca suspension bridge, preserved by centuries of tradition. Each June, the local community gathers to rebuild the Qeswachaka Bridge using only highland grasses, a process that takes about three days. This age-old tradition, passed down from the Incas, is a powerful display of teamwork and cultural pride. The tour is not only a journey through history but also a vibrant celebration of living heritage.
